Job summary

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented Sustainability Planner in Dubai to develop and execute sustainability strategies aligned with corporate ESG objectives. You will work with diverse teams to integrate sustainable practices into project design, masterplanning, and reporting.

You will evaluate energy, water, carbon, mobility, ecology, and climate resilience while supporting documentation for client submissions and certifications. A Day 1 onboarding at a local office is required.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Sustainability Planning is preferred.
• Active credential in LEED, Estidama, Sahel at community level is required.
• Understanding of sustainable urban planning and masterplanning principles.
• Ability to interpret technical information and communicate findings clearly.
• Effective teamwork and coordination skills within multidisciplinary project environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the integration of sustainability principles into planning and design decisions throughout project development.
• Participate in sustainability-led masterplanning projects and develop sustainability frameworks, targets, and roadmaps.
• Contribute to sustainability assessments at masterplan level - rating systems, certification frameworks, and ESG-related studies.
• Assist in evaluating sustainability across energy, water, carbon, mobility, ecology, climate resilience, and circular economy.
• Undertake research, benchmarking, and analysis of local and international sustainability standards and practices.
• Prepare technical reports to support client submissions and project deliverables.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to collect and review design information for tracking sustainability objectives.
• Monitor project sustainability commitments and ensure actions are communicated and implemented.

Education

Educational background in Sustainability Planning

Active credential in LEED/Estidama/Sahel

Understanding of sustainable urban planning principles

Ability to interpret technical information and communicate findings clearly

Strong written and verbal communication skills
