Job summary

Alpin Limited, a leading sustainability consultant in the Middle East, seeks a Sustainability professional to join an integrated team for Middle East and Europe projects. You will manage LEED/Estidama/WELL documentation, coordinate with MEP/civil engineers, lead presentations, and support business growth.

You should have 3–5 years in the built environment, LEED AP, strong English, and a degree in a related field. GCC experience is a plus for this Dubai-based role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline (Environmental, Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture).
• LEED AP is a must; ESTIDAMA PQP, WELL AP or other certification as required to execute works.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• 3–5 years background in built environment; GCC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Member of Sustainability team;
• Lead/participate in global and local sustainable building projects and operational efficiency efforts.
• Quality control and review of reports;
• Lead presentations and support business development;
• Support rapid growth plans and project management processes (scheduling, resources, meetings, stakeholders);
• Site and office-based consultancy;
• Coordinate LEED/Estidama/WELL documentation and submittals;
• Coordinate with MEP and civil engineers;
• Research sustainability products/tech;
• Contribute to regional publications/lectures/teaching;
• Plan personal development toward Sr. Sustainability Consultant.

Reports Directly to:

Head of Department - Sustainability and/or Team Leaders

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Member of Sustainability team;
• Participate as a team leader in carrying out specific global and local projects such as sustainable building projects, operational efficiency, etc.;
• Quality control and review of reports;
• Lead Presentations;
• Business Development Support;
• Support the company in its rapid growth plans;
• Understand and implement the principles of project management (scheduling, resource planning, effective meetings, stakeholder management);
• Site and Office Based Consultancy;
• Manage the green building design and LEED/Estidama/WELL documentation process as well as project specifications, calculations, plans and submittals for LEED/Estidama/WELL compliance;
• Coordinate with/support contractors including MEP and civil engineers;
• Conduct product and technology research related to sustainability;
• Contributions to regional publications, lectures, teaching assignments;
• Personal development and plan to develop skills necessary for promotion to Sr. Sustainability Consultant.

HSE Roles, Responsibilities and Accountability:

• In addition to your responsibility towards following ALPIN’s Integrated Management System, every employee at ALPIN is required to familiarize themselves with ALPIN’s Environmental Impact Assessment and contribute towards minimizing their individual environmental impact in the course of their work.
• It is the duty of all employees to act within the legal responsibilities imposed upon them and the Company’s Quality, Environment and Health & Safety policies. All employees must familiarize themselves with the Company’s Integrated Management System’s policies and procedures

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with both clients and consultants;
• Have a background within the built environment sector (3 - 5 years);
• Working Knowledge of MEP, Construction Management and Design;
• Demonstrated project experience;
• Strong Knowledge of current sustainability standards: LEED, ESTIDAMA, and/or WELL;
• LEED AP is a must (commitment to achieve 2nd within 1 month); ESTIDAMA PQP, WELL AP or other certification as required to execute works
• Comprehensive written & spoken English;
• Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline (Environmental, Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture);
• GCC experience;
• Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment;
• Ability to self-manage;
• Strong communication skills (Written, electronic & spoken)

Additional Experience/Certifications:

• Hands-on engineering and project management skills;
• Arabic language would be a plus (not required);
• Master’s Degree is a plus (not required);
• Driver’s license is required & personal mode of transportation in country of hire (preferred);
• Passport which allows for efficient regional travel.
