Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or related field preferred.
• At least 2 years experience working as a Surveyor desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is essential.
• Ability to operate surveying equipment accurately with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct land surveys using GPS, theodolites and range finders.
• Map boundaries accurately using aerial photography, satellite imagery and other data sources.
• Measure distances, elevations and angles between points.
• Analyze data to determine lengths, areas, angles and other characteristics.
• Prepare drawings or contour maps illustrating features of an area.
• Inspect structures for signs of wear or deterioration.
• Prepare reports on findings from inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of all survey work conducted.
