Supervisor -AC

Job Summary

The AC Supervisor is responsible for supervising HVAC installation maintenance and repair activities on site. The role involves managing technicians ensuring quality workmanship coordinating with engineers and ensuring all HVAC works comply with project specifications standards and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervision & Execution

• Supervise day-to-day HVAC installation and maintenance activities.
• Oversee installation of AHUs FCUs VRF/VRV systems ducting chilled water piping exhaust systems and ventilation equipment.
• Allocate tasks to AC technicians and monitor their performance.
• Ensure works are carried out as per approved drawings and method statements.

2. Coordination

• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers Main Contractors and other MEP disciplines.
• Participate in site coordination and technical meetings.
• Liaise with consultants during site inspections and assist in obtaining approvals.

3. Quality Assurance

• Conduct inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
• Ensure proper installation alignment insulation and sealing of ducting/piping.
• Identify defects and ensure timely corrective action.

4. Safety Compliance

• Ensure HVAC activities follow safety guidelines and permit-to-work systems.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure technicians follow safe practices.
• Report any unsafe conditions immediately.

5. Material & Tools Management

• Verify materials delivered to site and ensure they meet project requirements.
• Coordinate with storekeepers and procurement for material availability.
• Ensure proper handling of tools and equipment by technicians.

6. Testing & Commissioning Support

• Assist in testing balancing and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Support troubleshooting during startup and ensure systems perform as required.

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily progress reports.
• Update red-line/as-built drawings where applicable.
• Support engineers in preparing inspection requests (WIRs/MIRs).

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma/ITI in Mechanical/HVAC or equivalent.
• 7-10 years of experience in HVAC installation and supervision.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (DX systems VRF/VRV chilled water ducting ventilation).
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings and schematics.
• Good leadership communication and coordination skills.
