Job summary

Sener en Ingeniería in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its UAE team, supporting the delivery of high-quality structural designs and modelling for large-scale building projects across the design lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering with 3–6 years of experience, strong skills in ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD Pro, AutoCAD and BIM workflows, and a track record of coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of structural systems for large-scale buildings.

• Review calculations, drawings, technical reports, and specifications.
• Coordinate designs with Architecture, Civil, MEP, and other teams.
• Ensure compliance with standards and Sener quality procedures.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of structural systems for large-scale building projects across concept, preliminary, detailed, and IFC design stages.
• Prepare and develop structural analysis models for building structures using appropriate structural analysis and design software, ensuring accurate and efficient engineering solutions.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, technical reports, specifications, and other engineering documentation.
• Strong experience in structural analysis, modelling, and design of large-scale building structures.
• Assist in the design and structural modelling of reinforced concrete, steel, and other structural systems for complex building structures.
• Coordinate structural designs with Architecture, Civil, MEP, Geotechnical, and other multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Ensure structural designs comply with project requirements, applicable standards, codes, and Sener quality procedures.
• Support structural analysis and design calculations and contribute to the development of efficient engineering solutions.
• Review structural drawings and design documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews, technical workshops, and design coordination activities.
• Support the identification and resolution of structural design issues and multidisciplinary coordination conflicts.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3-6 years of structural engineering experience.
• Proven experience in the design of large-scale building structures.
• Experience in reinforced concrete and/or steel structural design.
• Experience preparing structural calculations, drawings, technical reports, and engineering documentation.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, design methodologies, and applicable international standards.
• Experience coordinating structural designs within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD Pro, or equivalent, along with AutoCAD.
• Experience with Revit Structure and BIM workflows is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with international engineering consultancies.
• Experience in large-scale and complex building projects.
• Rail & Metro experience is desirable.
• Familiarity with GCC building codes and international structural standards is an advantage.
• Experience with BIM-enabled structural design and digital engineering workflows.
