Job summary

R&B Fashion in Dubai seeks an experienced Merchandiser/Buyer to plan and curate ranges in line with customer demand, trends and store policies. The role drives seasonal strategies, negotiates with suppliers, and coordinates with Marketing and VM to push key product initiatives.

You will oversee buying calendars, range plans and the Look for the season to support strong gross margins. The ideal candidate will balance current business with new category development, monitor weekly sales

Responsibilities

• Drive seasonal strategies in line with brand positioning to formulate Gross Margin Plan (concise)
• Develop a finely tuned assortment and investment plan
• Create the sourcing development plan and action critical path to deliver timely
• Negotiate with new suppliers on pricing, terms, freight, training and promotional involvement
• Plan and manage OTB, in tandem with planning counterpart
• Deliver seasonal business strategy by monitoring critical path, range building and product selection
• Prepare and manage the buying calendar
• Formulate seasonal product focus plan with Marketing and VM
• Hold current business and build new categories
• Conduct customer focus groups and competitive shopping
• Analyze weekly sales performance and adjust production flows to maximize sales
