Job summary

ADNOC Distribution in the UAE seeks an Inventory Controller to manage the receipt, storage, issue and dispatch of equipment, spare parts and consumables. You will ensure materials match Purchase Orders, process EPCs, and maintain ERP records, while supporting stock checks and reporting to management.

The role requires at least 4 years in inventory maintenance in a large industrial plant, ideally Oil & Gas, with strong HSE compliance and warehouse housekeeping responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field.
• 4 years of relevant experience in maintenance of inventory and stock in a large industrial plant.
• Experience in Oil and Gas industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Physically check and verify received materials against Purchase Order Documents and report discrepancies.
• Verify and issue materials to users against approved documents and report unavailability at all warehouse locations.
• Enter all materials transactions into the ERP system and report on data mismatches.
• Conduct periodic stock checks and inventory reconciliation.
• Operate forklift as required and assist loading/unloading of materials.
• Maintain housekeeping of all store facilities and yards.
• Prepare periodic reports and KPI checklists for management.

Job Purpose

Controls and participates in the receipt, storage, issue, dispatch and safe custody of equipment, spare parts and consumable items stored in the store. Ensures that materials are received in accordance with purchase orders, raises reports of short landed or damaged materials, etc. Process the materials receipts, physical checking, issue, returns, transfer, system data input and update of all store records and files.

Controls and participates in the receipt, storage, issue, dispatch and safe custody of equipment, spare parts and consumable items stored in the store. Ensures that materials are received in accordance with purchase orders, raises reports of short landed or damaged materials, etc. Process the materials receipts, physical checking, issue, returns, transfer, system data input and update of all store records and files.

Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)

• Physically check and verify the received materials in accordance with the Purchase Order Documents and HSE Management System, report on discrepancies and follow up on issue and storage.
• Verify and issue the materials to the users against the approved documents and report on unavailability at all warehouse locations as Frustrated Demand.
• Physically check the returned items and process the respective approved document.
• Enter all materials transactions data in the ERP system and to report on the materials descriptions that do not match with the computerized data.
• Verify and physically identify the materials reserved for shutdowns and report on missing balance for transfer from other sites or replenishment.
• Check the materials shelf life and report on the expiry dates.
• Make regular checks on the materials conditions on the shelf and arrange for labeling and preservation.
• Carry out the housekeeping of all store facilities and yards.
• Operates the Forklift as and when required and assist in the loading and unloading of materials in the store facilities.
• Receives and Issues consumables, spare parts, tools and other related equipment for use as requested.
• Stores and maintains all items in accordance with the approved policies and procedures.
• Conducts periodic stock checks or stock counts to reconcile receipts and issues.
• Identifies fast moving or obsolete items and make appropriate recommendations.
• Prepare periodic reports, for example showing items unaccounted for, fast moving items and results of Inventory check as and when requested.

• Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures, to accomplish operational objectives.

Training

• Provide on-the-job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.

• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures and functional processes.

Health, Safety , Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
• Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.

Housekeeping

• Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during operations, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.

Reports

• Provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
• Prepare various Key Performance Indicator (KPI) checklists for management.

Internal Communications & Working Relationships

Contact with line Manager/ peers and other employees within the company/Group as required

External Communications & Working Relationships

Contact with external parties including consultants, third party service providers, and government agencies as required

Minimum Qualification

Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in the relevant field

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

4 years of relevant experience in maintenance of inventory and stock, within a large industrial plant, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
