About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Store Operations Lead to manage a cluster of Dark Stores within Careem’s Quick Commerce operations. This role demands a strong leader with operational expertise, data-driven decision-making capabilities, and the ability to drive performance and efficiency across multiple locations.

What You’ll Do

As a Store Operations Lead, you will take full ownership of operational excellence across your assigned stores, ensuring seamless processes, optimized costs, and exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop multiple Store Managers and their teams to achieve operational and commercial targets.
  • Oversee the end-to-end operations of your cluster — including fulfillment, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Drive operational KPIs such as delivery speed, accuracy, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze performance metrics and use data-driven insights to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure consumables usage, packaging standards, and inventory safety stocks are efficiently managed to minimize waste and downtime.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Tech) to resolve operational challenges and enhance productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with Careem’s SOPs, safety, and service standards across all sites.
  • Lead performance reviews, drive accountability, and foster a culture of ownership and excellence.
  • Support new store launches, process enhancements, and ERP/WMS system improvements as required.
What You’ll Need
  • 3–5 years of experience in E-commerce, Quick Commerce, or Retail Operations, preferably in a multi-site leadership role.
  • Proven team management and leadership skills with the ability to drive results across diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent data skills — advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas).
  • Working knowledge of SQL and comfort working with large datasets is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems and operational dashboards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • High adaptability, resilience, and a strong sense of ownership in a fast-paced environment.
Who Will Excel
  • Leaders who inspire teams through action, accountability, and empathy.
  • Professionals who are passionate about efficiency, scalability, and data-driven execution.
  • Individuals who embody Careem’s values — Be Bold, Own It, Serve Others, and Deliver Wow.
  • Those who thrive in a rapidly evolving environment and see challenges as opportunities to innovate.
What we’ll provide you

We offer colleagues the opportunity to drive impact in the region while they learn and grow. As a full time Careem colleague, you will be able to:

  • Explore new opportunities to learn and grow every day.
  • Work 4 days a week in office & 1 day from home, and remotely from any country in the world for 30 days a year with unlimited vacation days per year. (If you are in an individual contributor role in tech, you will have 2 office days a week and 3 to work from home.)
  • Access to healthcare benefits and fitness reimbursements for health activities including gym, health club, and training classes.
