About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager with a strong background in retail and supermarket management for one of our Retail company client in Al Ain. This role will involve overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the store managing staff and ensuring excellent customer service and store performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in the supermarket retail sector, a strong understanding of UAE products and a proactive approach to driving sales and store efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Store Operations Management:
    • Oversee daily operations of the supermarket ensuring smooth functioning of all departments (e.g. produce dairy meat etc.)
    • Maintain stock levels, monitor inventory and ensure timely reordering of products.
    • Ensure the store is clean, organized and well‑stocked at all times.
  • Staff Management and Leadership:
    • Manage, motivate and develop a team of store associates to ensure a high standard of customer service.
    • Schedule staff shifts, ensure proper staffing levels and handle payroll administration.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide training and resolve employer-related issues.
  • Customer Service Excellence:
    • Ensure an exceptional customer experience by overseeing the store's customer service practices.
    • Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
    • Implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales and Profitability:
    • Drive store sales and profitability by meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Develop and implement promotional strategies to increase foot traffic and sales.
    • Monitor financial performance, control costs and ensure the store operates within budget.
  • Health & Safety Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards.
    • Conduct regular audits and implement safety protocols.
    • Ensure that the store is compliant with UAE laws and retail regulations.
  • Stock and Product Knowledge:
    • Have a thorough understanding of the store's products, especially UAE specific goods and local brands.
    • Manage product displays, signage and shelf arrangements to maximize sales.
Requirements
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 35 years of experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager in a supermarket or retail environment.
    • Familiarity with UAE products and local market trends is essential.
    • Proven track record of managing staff and driving store performance.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate a team.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
    • Sound understanding of retail operations and inventory management.
    • Ability to analyze sales data and make data‑driven decisions.
  • Age: Candidates below 40 years are preferred but candidates up to 45 years are also welcome to apply.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Retail Management or related field (preferred).
