• Requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in hotel.
• Knowledge of correct use, handling, and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Proficiency with MS Office and hotel operating systems.
• Physically fit and able to clean high areas and large equipment, and lift heavy garbage.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high-pressure work environment.
• Able to work on shifts and be flexible regarding work schedules according to business demand.
• Fluent English or Hindi or Tamil an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Stewards clear, clean, wash and store crockery, pots and glassware.
• Assist the Stewards with their tasks.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas, including ovens, stovetops, floors and ceilings.
• Supervise and monitor the correct use, handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Remove and dispose of kitchen garbage.
• Monitor cleaning, washing and storage of crockery, pots and glassware.
• Participate in daily briefings and share relevant information with the team.
• Test and correct any deviations from stewarding procedures swiftly through on the job training.
• Interact with Department and Company Team Members, management, and contractors professionally and positively.
• Attend department and inter-department meetings and share relevant information.
• Encourage good relationships, promote team spirit, and ensure effective two-way and multicultural communications.
• Adhere to the Company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct.
• Remain well-mannered, well-groomed and hygienic as per Department and Company standards at all times.
• Follow health and safety standards and strive for constant improvement to avoid health and injury hazards.
• Participate in the Company recycling program and follow strict discipline to reduce, re-use and recycle wherever possible.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Team Leader - Steward to join the resort’s Staff Accommodation team.
