Job summary

KBR Abu Dhabi is seeking a Static Engineer (PMC Offshore Project) to support static equipment engineering across an offshore project and related operations from the Contractors Office. The role requires a mechanical engineering degree, 10+ years in oil & gas, and at least 5 years in static equipment design for upstream projects, with offshore experience preferred.

You will review designs, participate in design reviews, and mentor juniors while maintaining project documentation and ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree from a recognized university.
• Minimum overall 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry.
• Minimum 5 years experience in responsible roles in static equipment engineering design for projects in Oil and Gas Industry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in upstream oil and gas engineering projects.
• Experience offshore projects would be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working for upstream oil and gas company would be preferred.
• Experience with operating pressure vessels heat exchangers and tanks including equipment selection sizing design installation preservation commissioning start-up operation surveillance maintenance troubleshooting upgrading and decommissioning.
• Must have worked at least 5 years of experience in a similar position for a mega oil and gas construction project (more than US$ 1 Billion).

Responsibilities

• Supports static equipment engineering needs across Projects and Operations organization.
• Stewardship of engineering work quality effectiveness and efficiency.
• Supports technical evaluations to address issues with equipment and system design operation and maintenance.
• Provides pertinent engineering expertise to Root Cause Failure Analysis.
• Reviews project and contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications Design Practices Static Equipment Toolkit guidance and best practices.
• Participates in design reviews risk assessments HAZOPs vendor qualification and vendor bid evaluations as requested.
• Coordination of communication between different stakeholders in Projects and Operations organization.
• Coordination of teleconferences and management of communication and reporting tools.
• Supports functional initiatives and maintains discipline documentation pertinent to company facilities.
• Provides technical mentorship to early-career professionals with emphasis in areas of identified skill gaps.
• Participates in internal networks through which their capabilities can be disseminated to the benefit of others.
• Maintains current knowledge (e.g. through participation in industry conferences / forums) while proactively growing disciplines technical expertise in pertinent technologies on continuous basis.

• Minimum Overall 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry.
• Minimum 5 years experience in responsible roles in static equipment engineering design for projects in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in upstream oil and gas engineering projects.
• Having minimum 5 years of previous experience working in Offshore projects would be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working for upstream oil and gas company will be preferred
