American Hospital in Dubai seeks an experienced nurse to provide direct patient care in obstetrics and gynecology, coordinating care using the nursing process and supporting a range of gynecological procedures. The role includes CTG monitoring and assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s in Nursing (or a nursing degree with RN registration), have BLS, and meet UAE licensure requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (3-year) or Nursing degree (2-year) with RN registration from Canada/USA/UK/Ireland/South Africa/New Zealand/Australia
• UAE nationals: exempt from experience and clinical training for applied title
• Non-UAE graduates from UAE universities must complete six months of clinical training post-graduation
• Must hold a valid license/registration to practice in home country or last country of employment
• Must hold a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care in obstetrics and gynecology
• Coordinate patient care activities using the nursing process
• Support gynecological procedures (Colposcopy, Cryotherapy, Endometrial Biopsy, Excision of Bartholin Cyst, IUD insertion/removal)
• Assist with CTG monitoring and related diagnostic/therapeutic interventions
• Aid in various medical procedures and ongoing patient monitoring

Provides direct patient care and coordinates patient care-related activities using the scientific process of nursing. Nursing care is given to adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. Supports in various gynaecological procedures including, but not limited to, Colposcopy, Cryotherapy, Endometrial Biopsy, Excision of Bartholin Cyst, removal of Cervical Cerclage, removal of Cervical Polyp, Implant removal or insertion, and Intrauterine Device (IUD) Insertion/Removal. Undertakes Cardiotocography (CTG) Monitoring, showcasing a diverse skill set in assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in the field of women's health. Involves aiding in various medical procedures and monitoring to ensure optimal patient care and well-being.

• - Bachelor's degree in nursing (minimum of three (3) years full-time course duration) or
• - Degree in Nursing (minimum two (2) years course duration) and Registration as a Registered Nurse from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia
• - For UAE nationals graduates of UAE or non-UAE universities are exempted from the experience and clinical training requirements for the applied title. (UAE nationals must submit a copy of their birth certificate and the mother's family book)
• - Non-UAE national graduates from UAE universities are required to successfully complete six (6) months of clinical training post-graduation in an APS health facility (except for Registered and assistant Nurse titles)
• - Must hold a valid License/Registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment (where applicable)
• - Must hold a minimum of a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or others according to the scope of practice

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• - Minimum of two (2) years of recent post-graduate experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology setting
• - Knowledge of and ability to render care and services based on age, appropriateness, and developmental needs of patients
• - Skills in the assessment of patient and family's physical and psychological needs
• - Skills in coordination and planning of care and prioritising care based on individual needs
• - Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is essential
