Staff Design Systems Engineer

Job summary

Niche in Dubai seeks a senior design systems engineer to lead the vision and craft scalable UI components and tokens. You will collaborate with designers and engineers to codify patterns, accessibility, and design language across products.

You will leverage Figma, React, TypeScript, Storybook, and AI tooling to accelerate design-to-code workflows while ensuring WCAG AA compliance and a mature component library. A strong portfolio is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in design systems.
• Proven track record of setting design system vision and adoption.
• Proficiency with modern design tooling (Figma, design tokens, component libraries).
• Strong technical fluency in React, TypeScript, and Storybook.
• Experience working with APIs and automation platforms.
• Deep understanding of accessibility compliance (WCAG AA standards).
• Regular user of LLMs like Claude or ChatGPT in professional workflows.
• Ability to provide a portfolio or case studies demonstrating impact.

Responsibilities
