Job summary

Space42 is seeking a Specialist - Product Management to own backlogs and roadmaps across multiple technology projects, acting as the bridge between customers, commercial teams, and engineering.

You will translate requirements into epics and user stories, prioritize by value and feasibility, run backlog refinement and sprint planning with engineering, and ensure delivery aligns with commitments and system stability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Owner/PM in complex tech environments.
• Experience owning backlogs and roadmaps for live/production systems.
• Experience managing multiple projects or delivery workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong Agile/Scrum experience and ability to translate requirements into engineering-ready scope.
• Knowledge of APIs, integrations, data, infrastructure and system dependencies.
• Experience with government/defense/mission-critical tech preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Specialist - Product Management, you will own and manage product backlogs and roadmaps across multiple complex technology projects, serving as the key link between customers, commercial teams, and engineering by translating business and operational requirements into clear, prioritised, and deliverable product scope. You will make informed prioritisation decisions, balance competing stakeholder demands, and ensure delivery remains aligned with customer commitments, engineering capacity, and overall product stability.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritise product backlogs across multiple projects and workstreams.
• Translate customer and business needs into clear epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritise requirements based on business value, customer needs, technical feasibility, dependencies, risk and engineering capacity.
• Make and defend scope and sequencing decisions, including challenging or deferring requests where required.
• Run backlog refinement, sprint planning and release prioritisation with engineering teams.
• Balance new features against defects, technical debt, security, performance and production stability.
• Work closely with engineering, architecture, QA, UX, programme and commercial teams.
• Manage dependencies across systems, integrations, data and infrastructure.
• Support product demonstrations, UAT, customer acceptance and release-readiness activities.
• Keep stakeholders aligned on roadmap changes, priorities, risks and delivery expectations.
• Manage multiple stakeholder groups and projects without becoming a delivery bottleneck.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar role within complex technology environments.
• Strong experience owning product backlogs and roadmaps for live or production systems.
• Experience managing multiple projects, products or delivery workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong Agile/Scrum experience and hands-on use of Jira and BPMN.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into engineering-ready scope.
• Good understanding of software development, APIs, integrations, data, infrastructure and system dependencies.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills
• Proven ability to make prioritization and trade-off decisions under pressure.
• Experience with government, defense, aerospace, geospatial, intelligence, or other mission-critical technology environments is preferred.

Additional Requirements

• This is a decision-making role with real authority over scope and sequencing, not a documentation or requirements-gathering role
• Comfortable working with demanding customers and senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable with commuting to client location based on demand. Hence, car and driving license is must for this role.
• Confident challenging requests that conflict with agreed priorities, technical constraints or system stability.
• Able to quickly understand new domains, products and customer environments.
• Comfortable managing both new development and existing production systems.
• Able to work across multiple projects with different priorities and levels of maturity.
• Comfortable working in structured, security-conscious and customer-facing environments.
• Knowledge of Arabic is not must, but it is added advantage.
