Job Specific Accountabilities
Technical Assurance

- Monitor and check the EPC Contractor’s technical deliverables to obtain the required quality, on time and within budget
- Attend internal progress and engineering meetings with contractors and licensors
- Supervise and ensure design work of vendor and contractor aligns with scope and technical specifications
- Ensure process engineering schedules are consistent with overall project requirements
- Support company in the execution of the works
- Attend internal/external project reviews and other meetings as necessary
- Keep up to date with and adhere to company and project procedures
- Assist contractors with interface management when required
- Participate in continuous risk analysis of engineering works
- Manage and audit contractor work to maintain quality and standards, and adopt cost‑effective solutions
- Provide support and network with engineering manager, coordinating between PMC disciplines
- Review and respond to technical queries, interface queries and concession requests
- Identify and analyse negative trends in engineering execution and initiate corrective actions
- Apply cost‑effective value engineering throughout the project duration
- Render professional assistance to project management and project commercial group
- Review and approve process engineering schedules to control and report contractor performance
- Coordinate communications and meetings with contractors on process engineering/design requirements
- Approve process engineering activities to ensure compliance with scope and quality objectives
- Lead and coordinate all process reviews with stakeholders
- Enforce management of project change process
- Ensure final detail design documentation is developed, implemented and closed‑out to satisfaction of company
- Ensure detail designs comply with company procedures and HSE requirements
- Support contractor in seeking simple solutions and avoiding unnecessary delays
- Ensure effective liaison and coordination among all parties
- Ensure tasks assigned by project manager are completed on time and within budget
- Assist with procurement activities, vendor document approvals, and physical inspections
- Support construction and commissioning by participating in discipline inspections and punch‑listing
- Verify final discipline documentation and databases at handover and confirm completeness and correctness
- Support project control with monthly reports and presentations
- Review concession requests, validate basis and impact on technical integrity before endorsement
- Monitor discipline‑specific design change management for all engineering changes with proper multi‑discipline impact assessment
Qualifications
- 4‑year bachelor’s degree in engineering required
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- 15+ years of discipline‑specific petrochemical experience
- 5+ years of similar experience required
- 5+ years of GCC experience preferred
- Process management experience
- Knowledge of industry governing codes and standards
- Excellent time‑management skills, proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks
