Provide a comprehensive professional and ethical quality clinical services to patients in an effective and efficient manner.
Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care.
Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality management standards.
Maintain accurate medical records.
Ensure excellence in medical practice is maintained by focusing on continuous professional development of self and others.
Maintain integrity in professional services by executing clinical services in an ethical and responsible manner.
Provides comprehensive and diligent neurosurgical care to all assigned patients including pre- and postoperative care and such neurosurgical procedures as are within incumbent's competence.
Performs professional duties at the OPD at which outpatient neurosurgical care is to be rendered to patients.
Provides consultation services to physicians and other surgeons and
Assumes after-hours responsibility for the care of neurosurgical cases and makes daily rounds for those hospitalized.
Refers to, or consults with, other neurosurgeons on those cases that require more specialized diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
Super vises or participates in supervision of intensive care areas when assigned.
Exercises effective interpersonal skills in dealings with department staff, with associates and with Management.
Evidences leadership skills in developing in others the willingness and desire to work toward common objectives.
Maintains confidentiality regarding patient information and regarding administrative matters of a confidential
nature.
Produces written communications, assessments, proposals and administrative documents that are timely and
Of high quality. Work product is of the quantity required to effectively accomplish duties as head of the department.
Evidences dependability in carrying out the commitments and obligations of the position.
Demonstrates the ability to listen to others in promoting effective communication.
Develops thorough understanding of policies and procedures of the hospital and demonstrates respect for

Performs other duties as assigned by the Medical Director.
Adheres to the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Medical Department and assures that work performed
is in keeping with the established standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals.
Consults with the anesthesiologist on the choice of anesthesia to be used.
Maintains complete and accurate records of all cases.
Participates in and contributes to in-service activities such as lectures, conferences and rounds.
Keeps confidentiality of the patient's disease.
Keeps a high standard in the neurosurgical field by attending meetings of neurosurgery, reviewing specialized
journals and updated literature and keeps a high medical and ethical standard as required by the NMCRH, Khalifa City rules and regulations.
Participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities of the service (e.g. monthly mortality and morbidity conference, peer review, audit and chart review).
At least 3 - 5 years’ post qualification experience at Specialist level (independent of country)
At least 1 year Specialist level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.
Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
Certification and registration in a speciality recognised by relevant UAE healthcare authority. Active and valid life support certification (e.g. BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP)
Eligibility for relevant healthcare authority registration e.g. Membership from Royal College / Arab Board Certification / MS / DM / MPhil or an equivalent recognised by relevant healthcare authority in UAE
