Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is seeking a Finance professional to drive governance and performance analysis for the GTx business across the UAE and international locations. You will partner with Treasury, FP&A, and Tax to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic reporting.

Key responsibilities include analyzing daily P&L and balance sheet variances, maintaining financial controls, and delivering project Capex and KPI reporting. Strong MS Excel/PowerPoint skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Professional qualifications preferred e.g. Business bachelor's degree.
• Self-starter with experience in financial analysis and performance analysis.
• Strong presentation skills and adept in MS Productivity tools (PowerPoint and Excel).
• Technical knowledge of WBG products and banking/financial markets indicators.

Responsibilities

• Review daily P&L and balance sheet; investigate variances and remediate with Ops/IT.
• Maintain financial controls, SOPs, and governance for GTx business.
• Review Capex and P/L benefits; manage BRD repository and project benefits.
• Develop GTx project capex reports and YoY spend analysis.
• Create performance/exception reports with FPA & FR; monitor ECL & RWA.
• Coordinate with Risk and CAD on risk payouts and CRWA data.

JOB PURPOSE:

The GTx Business Finance function is responsible for all finance matters specific to the GTx - business including, but not limited to, Performance, Control, Forecasting, Budgeting & Strategy. In addition, the function provides a key support role to other Group Finance functions, Treasury, Central FP&A, Tax as well as Financial & Regulatory Reporting.

Key priorities of this role include:

• Support GTx Business Finance in implementing a strong financial governance framework across the UAE and International locations encompassing performance reviews, budgeting process, financial control, regulatory and internal audit matters, country strategy and internal / external communication.
• Act as a trusted advisor on business performance and main point of contact for responding specific business requirement.
• Providing in-depth Financial Analysis for Global Treasury, Trade & Tokenization (GTx), provide value added insight & support to business in achieving their target.
• Contribute fully to transforming FAB Finance through engagement in various transformation initiatives.

Effectively coordinate, communicate, and build excellent relationships with key stakeholders across Finance and GTx Business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Financial Control & Governance Oversight
• Review GTx daily P&L and BS, investigate, and analyze the Variances. Any material variations to be flagged and remediated with relevant Operations and IT team.
• Regularly assess and investigate, when required, the integrity of financial information.
• Assist Account controller to manage and review all accounts that falls under GTx business. Perform Conformance testing on a sample list of accounts in coordination with GFC.
• Coordinate with GFC to maintain and support the framework of financial controls.
• Maintain SOPs for all processes and tasks that falls under GTx business finance, documented with relevant approvals.
• Provide relevant support to VP Business Finance as well as Head of Business Finance GTx wherever necessary.

• GTX Projects & BRD’s Review
• Support GTx Finance in reviewing the Capex, P/L benefits such as revenues, cost savings and KPI’s are appropriately captured in BCD documents.
• Maintain repository of approved BRD’s to review at a later stage to challenge business.
• Work with GTx Channels and product team to gain full understanding of projects and its benefits.
• Collaborate with business and CPMO on Value reporting of projects that went live.
• Develop GTx Projects Capex reports providing a view on YoY spending and challenge business on benefits accrual.
• Monitor monthly GTx business cost with special focus on TCO.

• Performance Reporting & Exception reports
• Work closely with FPA & FR to develop exception reports to ensure integrity of financial and management reporting. Eg: Negative Income or negative balance sheet assets or liabilities.
• Assist GTx in reviewing and developing analytics around ECL & RWA to proactively monitor and assess if there any optimization initiatives.
• Liaise with Trade Risk distribution team and ensure risk participation payouts are accrued in respective period without any lag.
• Work with Risk and CAD to ensure Risk distribution numbers are consumed for CRWA calculation.
