Job summary

SearchPlus HR Consultancy is seeking a Specialist/Consultant in Pain Medicine with Western board recognition to assess and manage acute and chronic pain under UAE healthcare standards. The role involves developing multidisciplinary plans, performing interventional procedures within privileges, and monitoring treatment safety.

Candidates should have MBBS or equivalent, a Western Pain Medicine board qualification, and relevant consultant-level experience with UAE licensing eligibility.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent degree required.
• Recognized Western Board qualification in Pain Medicine or equivalent.
• Relevant consultant-level clinical experience.
• Eligible for UAE Specialist/Consultant Pain Medicine licence as per local requirements.
• Current Good Standing Certificate and credentialing/verification documents.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Develop individualized, multidisciplinary pain management plans.
• Perform interventional pain procedures within approved privileges.
• Manage medication-based pain therapy and monitor response and safety.
• Provide patient education and support functional rehabilitation.
• Coordinate care with anaesthesia, neurology, orthopaedics, rehabilitation and other specialties.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Participate in multidisciplinary pain management meetings.
• Support clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Maintain professional competence through CPD and continuing education.

We are seeking a highly qualified Specialist / Consultant Pain Medicine physician with a recognized Western Board qualification to provide comprehensive assessment and management of acute and chronic pain conditions, in accordance with UAE healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Develop individualized, multidisciplinary pain management plans.
• Perform appropriate interventional pain procedures within approved clinical privileges.
• Manage medication-based pain therapy and monitor treatment response and safety.
• Provide patient education and support functional rehabilitation.
• Coordinate care with anaesthesia, neurology, orthopaedics, rehabilitation and other specialties.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Participate in multidisciplinary pain management meetings.
• Support clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Maintain professional competence through CPD and continuing education.

• Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB, MD or equivalent).
• Recognized Western Board qualification in Pain Medicine / Pain Management or an applicable equivalent qualification.
• Relevant specialist/consultant-level clinical experience.
• Eligible for or holding a valid UAE Specialist / Consultant Pain Medicine licence, subject to applicable health authority requirements.
• Current Good Standing Certificate and required credentialing/verification documents.
• Strong clinical, procedural and communication skills.
• Qualified international doctors meeting the required qualifications and UAE licensing criteria are encouraged to apply.
