The Government Healthcare Facility UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist/Consultant – Cardiothoracic Surgery to join its advanced surgical team. You will provide comprehensive care for complex cardiac and thoracic conditions in a multidisciplinary setting.

The role requires a medical degree and a postgraduate Cardiothoracic qualification with extensive surgeon-level experience. UK/US/Australian Board credentials are encouraged, and tertiary/government hospital experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Cardiothoracic Surgery / Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery.
• Relevant Specialist or Consultant-level experience.
• UK CCT, Western qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or German Board encouraged to apply.
• Extensive experience in cardiothoracic procedures and complex case management.
• Strong operative, clinical decision-making and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Experience in a tertiary, teaching or government hospital is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and surgically manage patients with complex cardiac and thoracic conditions.
• Perform open and minimally invasive cardiothoracic procedures where appropriate.
• Manage patients with coronary and valvular disease and thoracic conditions.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop surgical plans.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor for complications.
• Manage emergency and high-risk cardiothoracic cases.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthetists, intensivists, radiologists and teams.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical governance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow patient-safety standards.
• Contribute to teaching, audits and continuing medical education.

A leading Government Healthcare Facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant – Cardiothoracic Surgery to join its advanced surgical team.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular conditions, working within a multidisciplinary environment and delivering high standards of perioperative and post-operative care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and surgically manage patients with complex cardiac and thoracic conditions.
• Perform a broad range of cardiothoracic procedures, including open and minimally invasive surgeries where appropriate.
• Manage patients with coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, thoracic conditions, and other complex cardiothoracic disorders.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans.
• Provide post-operative management and monitor patients for potential complications.
• Manage emergency and high-risk cardiothoracic surgical cases.
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, cardiac anesthetists, intensivists, radiologists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical decision-making.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established patient-safety and clinical governance standards.
• Contribute to teaching, mentoring, clinical audits, quality improvement, and continuing medical education.
