Job summary

Penspen Ltd is looking for an experienced professional to lead and manage pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for process and utility systems in Abu Dhabi. Candidates should have over 15 years of Oil & Gas experience, specifically in offshore environments and fabrication yards.

The role requires proven expertise in commissioning workflows and excellent coordination skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders. This position offers the chance to support critical offshore hook-up and commissioning activities while ensuring adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

Job Description

• Lead and execute pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for process and utility systems at the fabrication yard.

• Review and approve commissioning procedures, test packs, method statements, and system handover dossiers.

• Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, engineering, HSE, and operations teams to ensure safe and timely system readiness.

• Perform and supervise system flushing, pressure testing, leak testing, cleaning, drying, and functional testing.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, and international codes.

• Interface with client, vendor, and third‑party inspectors during inspections and system acceptance.

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to commissioning teams.

• Support offshore hook‑up and commissioning (HUC) activities as required.

• Ensure strict adherence to HSE and permit‑to‑work systems.

Experience & Qualifications

• 15+ years of Oil & Gas experience, with strong offshore project background.

• Proven experience in process & utility commissioning for offshore facilities.

• Hands‑on exposure to WHTs, subsea cable & piping systems, and brownfield projects.

• Prior experience working in fabrication yards and offshore environments.

• Strong knowledge of commissioning workflows, systemization, and handover processes.

• Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.
