Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Execute special processes (heat treatment, blasting, shot peening, coating) per procedures.
• Support daily production to meet customer demand and process discipline.
• Monitor equipment, troubleshoot, coordinate with maintenance to improve reliability.
• Follow work instructions and operating standards for repeatable performance.
• Support shop floor flow and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Description Summary

The Special Process Operator is responsible for executing and supporting critical special process operations within the Gas Turbine Cell at the Jebel Ali Service Center. This role requires strong technical capability, disciplined execution, and a high level of commitment to safety, quality, and operational performance. The operator will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth production flow, equipment reliability, and consistent process execution while contributing to lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute special process operations including heat treatment, blasting, shot peening, and coating in accordance with approved procedures, technical specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Support daily production requirements by ensuring timely and accurate processing in line with customer demand, operational priorities, and required process discipline.
• Monitor equipment performance, perform basic troubleshooting, and coordinate with maintenance and support teams to improve reliability, minimize downtime, and sustain machine availability.
• Follow work instructions, technical process sheets, and operating standards to ensure repeatability, compliance, and consistent process performance.
• Support shop floor flow and operational efficiency through effective execution, teamwork, and coordination with cross‑functional teams.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities, lean initiatives, and site projects focused on productivity, quality, waste reduction, and operational excellence.
• Maintain strong housekeeping, ownership, and accountability within the assigned work area while promoting best practices across the shop floor.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma in a relevant field from an accredited university or college, or a high school degree with relevant work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing operations.
• Qualified to operate special processes including Heat Treatment, Blasting and Shot Peening.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards, hazard awareness, quality requirements, and special process controls.
• Working knowledge of industrial machine operation and basic maintenance practices.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow technical procedures, work instructions, and process specifications.
• English language proficiency is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team‑based and multicultural environment.
