The Sourcing Leader is responsible for managing the sourcing process for a GeoUnit, GSC Team, or Center to deliver optimal product and service costs, and a high-performance, risk-managed supply base in line with business requirements. The Sourcing Leader manages a team of Sourcing Specialists where required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create sourcing plans that reduce costs, secure supply, and minimize supply chain disruptions, aligned with Category strategies.
- Develop action plans, timelines, and resource assignments for sourcing projects, including the assignment of projects to the Global Sourcing Centers if appropriate.
- Manage sourcing activities within the GeoUnit to support the Division GU P&SC direct spend requirements and local needs.
- Support Division GU P&SC direct spend through supplier identification, RFQ processes, and engagement with GSC and stakeholders.
- Define a high-performance supply base for locally managed commodities.
- Lead RFx processes, minimizing risk and maximizing value regarding quality, delivery, and total cost of ownership.
- Lead supplier evaluation and selection processes, ensuring all decisions are documented, in coordination with relevant teams.
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Lead contracting processes in coordination with Supply Chain Contract Specialists.
- Engage suppliers for RFx and allocate spend according to the Global Category Strategy.
- Monitor sourcing projects for on-time completion and full implementation, including all necessary Purchasing data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders within the GeoUnit, Division, and Central teams to meet objectives and implement Sourcing Plans effectively.
- Identify opportunities and implement actions to reduce waste of time, money, and resources.
- Ensure compliance with Schlumberger and local procedures, including the Financial Manual and Sourcing Procedures.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with experience in Sourcing (PnSC).
