Location : Africa (Remote, with customer travel)
We’re looking for a dynamic Solution Engineer to drive growth across our Network Testing and Radio Engineering product lines in the CSP sector. This is a strategically important role, which requires someone with very strong technical skills, and the ability to convey the benefits of our portfolio to our customers in the Middle East and Africa.
You’ll be responsible for :
- Using your technical expertise, as part of the sales team, to articulate the benefits of Infovista’s Network Testing and Radio Engineering solutions in customer meetings, presentations, and bid responses.
- Understanding the customers' business issues and problems, and matching suitable Infovista solutions.
- Answering technical parts of RFP and RFQs, and preparing BoQs and solution descriptions.
- Assisting the sales team with developing and executing sales strategies in the region.
- Expanding relationships with existing clients and identifying new opportunities.
- Facilitating product innovation by bringing ideas and new customer requirements to the Product Management team, and helping to prioritize and deliver them.
- Being a trusted technical advisor to Infovista’s customers in the region.
- Collaborating internally with Professional Services and Support teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Organizing and delivering trials remotely or on-site, demonstrating the benefits of Infovista’s solutions.
- Customizing solutions to maximize customer value.
- Following Infovista’s sales processes for accurate recording of customer engagement progress.
What you bring :
- Solution Engineering Expertise
- 5+ years in solution engineering or a customer-facing technical role in telecoms.
- A university degree in engineering or a similar technical field.
- Good knowledge of mobile RAN and its impact on KPIs and customer experience.
- Insight into CSP ecosystems in Africa and/or the Middle East.
- Experience managing customer engagements to successful completion.
- Ability to qualify opportunities early and manage multiple deals simultaneously.
- Communication
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to explain complex technical problems clearly.
- Fluent in English; French and/or Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, from engineers to executives.
- Collaborative mindset and attention to detail.
- Technical Expertise Knowledge
- Knowledge of KPIs and business issues of customers, and how to match solutions.
- Understanding of mobile network testing, planning, and customer use-cases.
- Basic troubleshooting skills with 3GPP Layer 3 messaging and IP traces.
- Understanding of cellular propagation modeling principles.
- Scripting skills, preferably in Python.
- Ability to translate customer reporting requirements into solutions.
- Familiarity with Infovista’s TEMS and/or Planet tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of market competitors and differentiation strategies.
- Travel :
- Primarily remote, with up to 30% travel across Africa and the Middle East. Proximity to an international airport is required.
