Job summary

TMC Middle East in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Solution Architect – Cards & Digital Payments to lead client-facing design for card issuing and processing. You will translate BRDs into a clear solution, DOUs, SOWs and cost estimates, working with pre-sales and product teams to assemble end-to-end solutions.

You must know card journeys end-to-end and stay current on Visa, Mastercard and wallet initiatives, tokenisation, 3DS, and Click to Pay, with hands-on experience across issuers,

Qualifications

• 8+ years in card payments at issuer/bank, card processor, scheme, or vendor.
• Proven solution design or pre-sales experience with DOUs, SOWs or RFP responses you authored.
• Prior Business Analyst experience in cards/payments.
• Hands-on knowledge of card journeys end to end: issuing, authorisation, ISO 8583, clearing & settlement, disputes/chargebacks.
• Hands-on with digital scheme and wallet initiatives: tokenisation (VTS/MDES), Apple/Google/Samsung Pay provisioning, 3DS 2.x, Click to Pay.
• Working knowledge of at least one card management/processing platform (Way4, TSYS PRIME, Fiserv VisionPlus, etc.).
• Ability to estimate effort and cost and build commercial solution proposals.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; excellent written/spoken English.
• Bachelor’s degree; MBA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead client-facing solution design for card issuing and processing; convert BRDs into DOUs and SOWs.
• Develop cost/effort estimates and commercial proposals; support pre-sales with Product and System Owners.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, vendors, and delivery teams; act as the client’s voice from design to handover.
• Stay current on Visa/Mastercard and wallet initiatives; ensure end-to-end card journey coverage.

Job Title: Solution Architect – Cards & Digital Payments (Pre-Sales / Client Solutioning)

Location: Remote / WFH

Reports to: Head of Solutions / Relationship Management

Working Hours: Must be able to overlap with UAE business hours (GST, UTC+4)

Not a Project Manager role: this person designs and scopes the solution. A separate Project Manager handles delivery

Role Summary

You will be the client-facing solution design lead for card issuing and processing clients. You will turn client BRDs into a clear solution design, a Document of Understanding (DOU), a Scope Document / Statement of Work, and cost and effort estimates. You will work with Relationship Managers in pre-sales, and with Product and System Owners and vendors to put solutions together. You will also act as the client’s voice from design through to handover to delivery.

You must know card journeys end to end at a hands-on level, and you must be current on Visa, Mastercard and wallet digital initiatives.

What You Must Have (Non-Negotiable)

• 8+ years in card payments. This must be at an issuer/bank, card processor, scheme, or card platform vendor.
• Proven solution design or pre-sales experience. You must be able to show DOUs, SOWs, solution documents or RFP responses you have written yourself.
• Prior Business Analyst experience in cards or payments.
• Hands-on knowledge of card journeys end to end:
• issuing (credit, debit, prepaid)
• authorisation flows
• ISO 8583
• clearing and settlement
• disputes / chargebacks
• Hands-on experience with digital scheme and wallet initiatives:

• Your payments exposure is only at programme level and you have not worked hands-on with card flows or scheme specifications.
• You have not personally designed or scoped a tokenisation, wallet or 3DS solution.
