Job summary

Yello is seeking an experienced engineering leader in Dubai to drive software delivery across onshore and offshore teams. You will partner with Product, Design, and Marketing to shape high-impact digital products, while upholding coding standards and architectural governance.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted development, API-first design, and cloud deployments, with a focus on reducing technical debt and improving platform scalability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading software engineering teams, including distributed/offshore teams.
• Experience in product-led organisations and agile delivery.
• Strong knowledge of modern architecture patterns (microservices, API-first).
• Hands-on cloud experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Exposure to MACH architecture principles and DevOps practices.
• Proficient with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technology assessments, PoCs, and vendor evaluations.
• Support workshops, demonstrations, requirements gathering, and solution design.
• Drive agile delivery and continuous improvement across teams.

The successful candidate is likely to possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years' experience leading software engineering teams, including distributed and offshore teams.
• Experience working within product-led organisations and agile delivery environments.
• Strong knowledge of modern architecture patterns, including microservices and API-first design.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, ideally Google Cloud Platform.
• Technical exposure to technologies such as Node.js, React.js, React Native, Next.js, and mobile application development.
• Experience with MACH architecture principles.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, source control, and software delivery lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Previous experience within digital products, e-commerce, marketplace, automotive, property, or consumer-facing platforms would be advantageous.
