Job summary

Remotedxb in Dubai seeks an experienced Android developer to own payment-focused mobile features. You will build native apps with Kotlin, leverage coroutines, Flow, MVVM, and clean architecture, and integrate with POS SDKs and payment terminals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure critical payment and billing flows, including NFC-e issuance and printing, function flawlessly
• Develop and maintain App Vender modules and shared libraries
• Integrate constantly with POS platform SDKs
• Manage asynchronous flows and state management using Coroutines and Flow
• Maintain and test Android services and background processes

Requirements

• Solid experience in native Android development with Kotlin (mandatory)
• Proficiency in Java for legacy code navigation
• Deep knowledge of Coroutines and Flow (scopes, cancellation, StateFlow/SharedFlow, backpressure)- Mastery of software architecture (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture) and SOLID principles
• Experience with modularization and Gradle (version catalogs, flavors, build types)
• Dependency injection using Hilt or Dagger in multi-module projects
• Proficiency in Jetpack Compose and XML
• Experience with local persistence (SQLDelight or Room) and networking (Retrofit/OkHttp)
• Experience with unit and integration testing (MockK, Turbine)
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with payment terminals (POS) or embedded systems
• Knowledge of payment processing, transaction flows, and fiscal (NFC-e) requirements
• Experience with observability and analytics (Grafana, GCP, Looker Studio)
• Familiarity with AI and prompt engineering for development automation
• Experience with AOSP or firmware customization
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
