Job summary

Technology Innovation Institute in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced AI engineer to build products on top of large language models and to fine-tune them for domain-specific use cases, delivering MVPs quickly.

You will design evaluation pipelines, build and maintain backend and frontend interfaces to showcase model capabilities, and collaborate with researchers to move innovations from lab to product. Strong Python coding and ML framework experience are expected.

AI and Digital Science Research Centre

TAs part of TII's Artificial Intelligence Research Center, the Extreme-Scale Language Model team is developing and implementing innovative deep learning technologies with a broad range of applications, from Natural Language Processing to Perception and Vision. Our team has developed the Falcon models and is now planning to continue our journey into cutting-edge applied research in the topic of large language models.

Responsibilities

• Build products and MVPs on top of the models.
• Fine-tune the models for domain-specific use cases.
• Design evaluation pipelines and benchmarks for fine-tuned models.

Requirements

• Strong coding skills in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, etc).
• Hands-on experience fine-tuning large models.
• Knowledge of LoRA, prompt tuning, RLHF or similar methods.
• Experience with cloud, GPU environment, Docker/Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience with backend development frameworks.
• Experience with frontend frameworks.
• Ability to quickly build prototypes and iterate.
• Good communication and teamwork.
