About the Role
The Social Media Manager position is designed for a mid-level professional with a strong background in digital marketing, content creation, and brand management within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement multi-platform social media strategies tailored to the FMCG industry, aligning with overall marketing objectives and brand guidelines.
- Manage daily operations of all major social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging platforms relevant to the target audience.
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging content—such as posts, stories, videos, and live sessions—that resonates with consumers and supports product campaigns.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversions, sentiment) using analytics tools, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, product, and creative teams to coordinate integrated campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Oversee community management by responding to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely, brand-appropriate manner, fostering positive relationships with followers and influencers.
- Stay updated on social media trends, platform algorithm changes, and competitor activities to proactively adjust strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, audience targeting, creative development, and performance optimization.
- Ensure all content and interactions adhere to brand voice, company policies, and regulatory requirements specific to the FMCG sector.
- Identify and engage with relevant influencers, brand ambassadors, and partners to amplify reach and credibility.
- Coordinate crisis communication on social platforms, addressing negative feedback or issues swiftly and professionally.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) managing social media for FMCG brands or similar fast-paced consumer industries, with a portfolio demonstrating successful campaigns and audience growth.
- Advanced proficiency in content creation, including copywriting, basic graphic design (using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite), and short-form video production.
- Strong analytical skills with hands‑on experience using social media analytics platforms (e.g., Meta Insights, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Google Analytics) to track KPIs and inform strategy.
- Deep understanding of platform‑specific best practices, audience behaviors, and content formats for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and manage external partners or agencies.
- Experience with paid social media advertising including campaign setup, A/B testing, audience segmentation, and ROI analysis.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple campaigns and deadlines in a hybrid work environment.
- Knowledge of social listening tools and techniques to monitor brand sentiment and emerging trends.
- Familiarity with crisis management protocols and online reputation management in the context of consumer brands.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and digital trends, demonstrating creativity and strategic thinking.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in social media marketing (e.g., Meta Blueprint, Hootsuite Social Marketing, Google Digital Garage) are highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in the FMCG sector or with high-volume consumer brands is preferred.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a strong asset given the regional context.
