Job summary

ISLANDS AUTO AND HEAVY EQUIPMENT SPARE PARTS TRADING in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Welder to perform welding and fabrication per technical drawings and safety standards. You will prepare materials, operate welding equipment, inspect welds and ensure quality across all work steps.

The role requires 2–5 years of welding experience, ability to read drawings, and knowledge of welding techniques. This is a full-time on-site position in Abu Dhabi with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years welding experience in fabrication, construction, manufacturing or maintenance.
• Technical/vocational qualification in welding or related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and welding hazards.
• Relevant welding certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding using MIG, TIG, ARC/SMAW and other applicable processes.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols and specs.
• Prepare, cut, fit, align and assemble metal components before welding.
• Select welding methods, materials, electrodes and equipment.
• Operate and maintain welding machines, cutting equipment and grinders.
• Inspect welds for cracks, defects and porosity.
• Carry out grinding, polishing and finishing as required.
• Ensure dimensions and tolerances comply with drawings.
• Follow welding procedures and quality-control requirements.
• Maintain welding equipment and report defects.
• Follow all HSE procedures and keep a clean, safe workspace.
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members to complete work.
• Complete welding within required time and quality standards.
