Qualifications

• Proven experience as a carpenter.
• Experience with woodworking and use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and physical fitness.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut and shape wood using hand and power tools.
• Construct cabinets, furniture, shelves, frames and other items from wood.
• Assemble wooden structures with nails, screws or glue.
• Follow established safety rules when operating machinery and handling materials.
• Utilize power-tools such as saws, lathes, routers etc.
• Ensure that finished products meet quality standards.
• Diagnose problems in existing structures and make repairs as needed.
