Stantec is currently looking for a Site Interior Designer to support the site supervision project in Dubai. Candidates must have experience in interior backgrounds within building site supervision.

Some of the key job responsibilities of this role entail the following:

  • Hands on monitoring the interior design works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
  • Produce technical construction detail drawings.
  • Review, comment and approve contractors shop drawings.
  • Prepare daily logs and reports.
  • Lead the coordination process with other disciplines.
  • Liaise and coordinate with the necessary sub consultants.
  • Manage interior inspectors.
  • Review, comment and approve materials delivered to site and on‑site mock‑ups as required.
  • Assist with the inspection of completed works and monitor the interior design works.
  • Prepare weekly planning and weekly report.
Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum of 8 years of site supervision experience.
  • Must have experience in hospital/healthcare projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Interior Design or equivalent field.
  • Holding good knowledge of BIM tools with a commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Knowledge of building construction systems, means and methods.
  • Should be able to work alone or as part of a team, checking own work for accuracy and completeness and managing time to meet project budget and schedule.
  • To participate and collaborate in a project team setting through all the phases of interior design document production.
  • Strong communication skills (written/verbal) and able to contribute effectively to discipline‑specific discussions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact with team members of different disciplines.
  • Practical, hands‑on, and up‑to‑date experience in interior design.
  • Be inventive and imaginative in design and master planning.
  • Enthusiastic, self‑motivated team player, keen to develop with our growing organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in using software packages including Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, Trimble SketchUp, 3D Studio MAX and Photoshop is an added advantage.
  • Dynamic with good organizational skills and able to multitask.
