Job Description:

Site Engineer/Inspector (UAE National)

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Parsons is seeking a talented Site Engineer/Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will monitor, inspect, coordinate, witness, and document all road and infrastructure works to ensure construction complies with contract requirements and specifications.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Ensure all construction works adhere strictly to plans and specifications.
2. Maintain a detailed diary of daily activities, issues, work approvals or rejections, hours, labor, and equipment used, signing off at the end of each day as directed by the ARE.
3. Interface with the public and stakeholders adjacent to the work to mitigate construction impacts.
4. Coordinate daily with the contractor’s foreman to advise on proper work execution.
5. Coordinate with other discipline inspectors for sampling, testing, and quality assurance of completed work and suspect materials.
6. Coordinate with Surveyors to verify line and grade of work for conformance with plans and specifications.
7. Report questionable methods of operation by the Contractor to the ARE or RE.
8. Report any failure by the Contractor to perform work according to drawings and specifications, ensuring good workmanship.
9. Process Inspection Requests and keep records of their status.
10. Maintain detailed records of work performed, especially if on a Day Works basis.
11. Participate actively in health and safety issues on site, as required by the Assistant Resident Engineer and safety representatives.
