Job Title: Site Engineer (Civil & MEP)
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Site Engineer to oversee the daily operations and execution of Civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) works on our construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Civil and MEP systems, demonstrating the ability to manage projects from inception to completion, optimize resource use, and maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. As a Site Engineer, you will play a critical role in coordinating diverse teams, troubleshooting on-site challenges, and ensuring timely, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Management & Supervision:

• Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring both Civil and MEP activities proceed as scheduled and meet project specifications.
• Maintain budgetary control and ensure adherence to key milestones, ensuring work is completed on time and within the allocated budget.
• Supervise and manage on-site personnel, including subcontractors and labor teams, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
• Work closely with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems into the project, resolving challenges as they arise.
• Provide technical support and direction during the construction phase to overcome complex issues on-site.
• Conduct regular inspections to monitor the quality of work and ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.

Design & Execution:

• Review and ensure the correct execution of design plans, ensuring all activities align with regulatory standards and project goals.
• Facilitate the understanding and interpretation of design drawings, schedules, and layouts to optimize project efficiency.
• Communicate any modifications or updates to the design to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders promptly.

Quality Control & Safety Compliance:

• Ensure all construction activities meet stringent quality standards and adhere to local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Proactively identify risks, implement preventive measures, and take corrective actions to avoid delays and ensure safety on-site.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and site diaries, ensuring the projects activities are recorded efficiently.
• Prepare weekly status reports for the Project Manager, detailing progress, challenges, and upcoming tasks.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Ensure clear and effective communication with clients and stakeholders, keeping them informed of project status and managing their expectations.
• Actively participate in project meetings, providing updates on site progress, quality control measures, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of hands-on site engineering experience, with a focus on both Civil and MEP works.
• Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects, particularly involving the integration of Civil and MEP systems.
• Proficiency with engineering software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant applications.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in Abu Dhabi.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
• Fluency in English is required. Arabic language skills are a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction practices, MEP systems, and site management processes.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage diverse teams and ensure smooth collaboration.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills to address on-site challenges and ensure the progress of the project.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software to track progress, manage documentation, and report effectively.
