Job description

When you join Amazon as a Shift Manager, you'll gain experience leading a large and diverse team to ensure your area of the business keeps pace with demand. In this hands-on role, you'll learn about the complexity of operations at a global business and what it takes to make everything run seamlessly. While implementing your team's approach to drive productivity, you'll also work closely with colleagues to address challenges, making no two days the same.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
  2. Analyze and implement corrective actions to ensure quality and productivity are consistently high and business objectives are met across all shifts
  3. Support and lead a team, handle administrative work, and build a strong team culture
  4. Analyze performance data and suggest process improvements to optimize work and enhance customer service
  5. Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes
A day in the life

You will work shifts at one of our operational sites, focusing on maintaining safety standards and process efficiency. Your days will include managing routine team tasks, addressing escalations, process improvement initiatives, and contingency planning. Collaboration with colleagues and external partners is essential to meet customer demands and targets, involving data analysis and discussions on technical improvements with engineers.

Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or working towards one)
  • Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English and the local language
  • Relevant experience in data analysis
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • At least 1 year of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques
  • Experience communicating with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in a logistics environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
