Job summary

ADIB - Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank seeks a Manager for Shari’a Assessment & Testing to maintain compliance across the group. You will monitor adherence to HSA resolutions and CBUAE standards, oversee Shari’a reviews, and drive risk-based assessments using the GRC platform.

You will prepare detailed reports for leadership, coordinate action plans, and refine Shari’a governance to support business objectives. Fluency in Arabic and English is required, with leadership experience and Islamic banking

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Shari’a/Islamic banking or equivalent.
• Strong academic or practical background in Shari’a Compliance or Shari’a Audit.
• AAOIFI CSAA and/or CIPA certifications (or equivalent).
• Expert knowledge of Islamic banking products and operations.
• Fluent in Arabic and English with strong communication skills.
• Ability to lead teams and coordinate across units.
• Understanding of Shari’a standards and governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Manager in maintaining Sharia compliance across the group.
• Monitor adherence to HSA resolutions and CBUAE standards.
• Oversee detailed Shari’a monitoring and assurance reviews across units.
• Execute tasks per the annual plan using risk-based methodologies and GRC systems.
• Assess SNC risks and coordinate with business units and risk teams.
• Prepare detailed review reports for various stakeholders and committees.
• Present findings to unit management and ensure action plans are implemented.
• Communicate reports to stakeholders and oversee timely remediation.
• Refine SCD policies, procedures, and methodologies as needed.
• Provide guidance to execution teams to uphold high Shari’a compliance.
• Support other SCD functions as required.
