Job Brief:
Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, the Service & Commissioning Engineer / Technician is the focal point for customers during installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service activities at the customer site. They are responsible for ensuring a smooth and seamless interface with the customer while maintaining the highest level of on-site safety and customer service. They must ensure that the supplied equipment operates according to the Engineering team’s design and meets the customer's operational requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare site work packs for installation, commissioning, service, or troubleshooting activities in conjunction with the Engineering team.
- Implement a zero-incident, zero-accident work culture on-site.
- Assist the engineering and project teams in the final assembly of equipment and in internal and customer Factory Acceptance Testing.
- Prepare comprehensive site reports for all completed work, including red-line markups of engineering and design documents.
- Respond to customer queries and questions regarding the equipment.
- Provide a positive experience for customers during site works.
- Liaise with internal project members and the supply chain for seamless installation, commissioning, service, or troubleshooting of the equipment.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commissioning burners and burner management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills; other languages are desirable but not essential.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualifications and experience.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office is required for this position.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to achieve excellent performance in both individual and team environments.
- Valid Driving License is essential.
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs is desirable but not essential.
- Hands-on experience with fired heaters, combustion systems, and associated electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent qualifications and experience.
- Strong understanding of process safety, combustion principles, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards (API, NFPA, etc.) related to fired heaters/burners is an advantage.
- Ability to prepare and review commissioning procedures, reports, and documentation.
- Proven experience in burner commissioning, start-up, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills in combustion control, instrumentation, and safety systems.
- Ability to deliver excellent performance in both individual and team environments.
- Candidate should be open to travelling to Europe and GCC Countries.
