Job summary

Miral Experiences is seeking a Senior Manager – Wildlife Rescue Centre to lead the daily operations of our wildlife rescue facility. You will oversee rescue, rehabilitation, quarantine and release activities while ensuring high standards of animal welfare and safety across all teams.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on management of operational staff, and a commitment to rigorous safety, biosecurity, and documentation practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 7 years of zoological, wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, animal management, or conservation experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or management position.
• Experience managing animal care teams and operational staff.
• Experience working with potentially dangerous, protected, or exotic wildlife.
• Demonstrated experience implementing safe zoological operating practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Wildlife Rescue Centre.
• Ensure preparedness of animal holding areas, quarantine facilities, rehabilitation spaces, equipment, vehicles and infrastructure.
• Coordinate wildlife intake, rescue responses, transfers, releases, and rehabilitation activities.
• Staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and smooth operations.
• Promote safe operating procedures and conduct regular safety reviews.
• Support welfare, biosecurity, and documentation across all operations.
