Job description

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Technical Interior Designer with strong BIM coordination knowledge to join our Interior Design team.

This role is ideal for a technically strong, detail-oriented, and highly organized professional who can take ownership of the technical development and multidisciplinary coordination of interior design projects.

The selected candidate will act as the technical representative of the Interior Design team for assigned projects and will be responsible for ensuring that all technical deliverables are fully coordinated with Architecture, MEP, Structure, BIM, and other relevant disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical development of interior design projects from concept/schematic stages through detailed design, tender, and IFC submissions.
  • Act as the main technical point of contact for the project in client, consultant, and internal coordination meetings.
  • Ensure full coordination between Interior Design, BIM, Architecture, MEP, Structure, lighting, and other project disciplines.
  • Translate design intent into accurate, coordinated, and buildable technical drawing packages.
  • Review and coordinate drawings, BIM models, RCPs, flooring layouts, elevations, sections, joinery details, schedules, specifications, and technical packages.
  • Manage communication between the technical design team and BIM team to ensure proper model development, drawing extraction, clash resolution, and BIM workflow compliance.
  • Review client requirements, project briefs, design standards, authority requirements, and deliverables to ensure proper implementation.
  • Identify technical issues, coordination gaps, clashes, and project risks, and provide practical solutions.
  • Review consultant drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation.
  • Support and guide junior designers, technical designers, CAD draughtsmen, and BIM modelers when required.
  • Ensure submissions meet project deadlines, internal QA/QC standards, and client expectations.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in technical interior design and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Strong experience in large‑scale interior design projects such as hospitality, residential, commercial, mixed-use, or high‑end developments.
  • Strong knowledge of BIM coordination workflows and project delivery requirements.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of interior construction details, materials, finishes, joinery, ceiling systems, lighting coordination, wet areas, and MEP integration.
  • Ability to read, review, and coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
  • Previous experience representing the technical team in client and consultant meetings is required.
