Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Technical HSE Engineer for a PMC project in oil & gas, petrochemical & LNG. The role requires extensive field experience and leadership in safety engineering across the project lifecycle.

Travel to international locations outside the UAE is required; ADNOC and LNG project exposure is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Engineering is mandatory, with 15+ years total experience and 5+ years in Petrochemical & LNG sectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years in oil & gas projects.
• At least 5+ years in Petrochemical & LNG projects.
• Experience in FEED and detail engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform Loss Prevention and Process Safety activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and provide technical oversight for safety studies (QRA, FERA, EERA, etc.).
• Review and validate Fire & Gas detection philosophies and hazardous area classifications.
• Provide guidance on building Fire & Life Safety systems.
• Preference for ADNOC and LNG project experience.

KBR is looking for a Senior Technical HSE Engineer for a PMC project with Petrochemical & LNG experience to be based in Abu Dhabi and must be willing to travel to international locations outside the UAE.

Experience required:

Minimum Overall 15+ years of experience in oil & gas projects. Minimum 5+ experience in Petrochemical & LNG Projects. Experience within FEED & Detail Engineering projects. ADNOC project experience is an advantage. PMC projects experience is an advantage. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is a MUST.

Candidates must be willing to travel to international locations outside the UAE.

1. Candidate should have experience leading and performing Loss Prevention and Process Safety engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.

2. Experience with review and technical oversight for safety studies, including:

• Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA)
• Fire and Explosion Risk Assessment (FERA)
• Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis (EERA)
• Flare Radiation and Dispersion Studies
• Fire & Gas Detection Mapping Studies
• Health, Safety and Environmental Impact Assessment (HSEIA)

3. Experience with review and validation of Fire & Gas detection philosophies, hazardous area classification studies

4. Experience with review and provision of technical guidance on building Fire & Life Safety systems

5. Prior ADNOC and/or LNG project experience is preferred.
