Job summary

Nagarro is seeking a senior data engineering professional in Abu Dhabi to lead data quality initiatives, governance and automation within Lakehouse architectures. The role focuses on implementing data quality frameworks, validating data and driving efficient data migration with Medallion design principles.

Candidate should have hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena) and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet migration targets.

Technical Expertise

• Strong experience with data quality frameworks and tools (Soda Core or similar).
• Hands-on experience with Lakehouse architectures and Medallion design.
• Proficiency in AWS services (S3 Glue Athena) and data validation techniques.
• Able to identify ways to automate their work / repetitive tasks.

Governance & Automation

• Knowledge of data contracts metadata management and lineage tools (OpenMetadata preferred).
• Experience in building automated validation and reconciliation pipelines.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive adoption.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver aggressive migration targets.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Work with Jira and agile way of working.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8 years in data engineering or data quality roles with at least 3 years in data assurance leadership.
• Experience in financial services or banking domain is a strong plus.
