Role Overview
The Senior Specialist – Financial Consolidation & Reporting is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end monthly close cycle, ensuring accurate consolidated financial results, and maintaining compliance with IFRS and regulatory reporting standards. This role requires strong expertise in Oracle FCCS, SAP S/4HANA, and multi‑entity reporting structures. The position will work closely with finance teams across business units, auditors, and senior stakeholders to deliver timely, compliant, and insightful financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the monthly financial close, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely submission of entity and consolidated results.
- Oversee intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and consolidation adjustments in line with IFRS.
- Ensure the Trial Balance (TB) is accurate and properly reflected in consolidation and reporting tools.
- Review and validate updates in Oracle FCCS, ensuring proper mapping and reporting structure consistency.
- Coordinate with entity finance teams to resolve discrepancies, validate numbers, and ensure alignment across all reporting units.
Reporting & Analysis
- Manage FCCS submissions, including commentary and variance explanations for management and group finance.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual stakeholder reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with internal frameworks.
- Support preparation of ESG‑linked financial disclosures, ensuring completeness and compliance with sustainability reporting requirements.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support executive decision‑making and group reporting.
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate with external auditors for group consolidated financial statements, providing required schedules, reconciliations, and disclosures.
- Ensure adherence to IFRS, UAE regulatory standards, and group policies.
- Prepare, review, and maintain IFRS disclosure notes, ensuring proper presentation and narrative for financial statements.
- Support regulatory reporting requirements such as Country‑by‑Country Reporting (CbCR) and Foreign Subsidies reporting.
- Conduct IFRS 18 impact assessments, evaluate implications on group reporting, and recommend appropriate implementation steps.
Process Improvement & Governance
- Strengthen and streamline financial consolidation processes, ensuring standardization across all business units.
- Enhance data quality and reporting processes through automation and best‑practice controls.
- Ensure alignment and consistency in financial commentary, reporting styles, and IFRS‑based frameworks.
- Support transformation initiatives related to finance systems, reporting tools, and governance compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Professional Certification
ACCA, ACA, CA, or CPA.
Experience
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in financial consolidation and group reporting.
- IFRS compliance and audit coordination.
- Multi‑entity reporting in complex organizational structures.
- Prior experience in Oracle FCCS (mandatory), SAP S/4HANA, Advanced Excel modeling and financial reporting.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, consolidation principles, intercompany eliminations, and financial disclosure requirements.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, multi‑entity coordination, and high‑volume data environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across finance, audit, and senior leadership teams.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and capability to interpret financial data into meaningful insights.
- Experience supporting ESG financial disclosures is an advantage.
