Job summary

Blackstone eIT seeks an experienced software engineer to own development, enhancement and support of a bilingual e-services portal. You will work on Next.js front-end features, Strapi content models and Node.js back-end services, with ongoing API integrations and security considerations.

You will deliver responsive RTL interfaces, collaborate across departments, and mentor through code reviews and automated testing in a DevOps environment.

Job description

Job Purpose

Own the development, enhancement and technical support of the Chamber’s e-services portal, public website and CMS. Deliver secure bilingual digital services and maintain their connections to backend APIs and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Portal Development: Develop and maintain Next.js e-services, including application forms, document uploads, request tracking, payment journeys and customer account functions.
• Website and CMS: Develop React/Next.js website features and configure Strapi content types, components, permissions, publishing workflows and API integration.
• Backend Development: Develop and maintain Node.js services and middleware, including business validation, authentication, error handling and API orchestration.
• Enterprise Integration: Connect digital channels to Dynamics 365, Dataverse, payment services and government APIs in coordination with the integration engineer.
• Localization and Accessibility: Deliver Arabic/English interfaces, RTL layouts, responsive designs and accessible user journeys.
• Quality and Security: Perform code reviews, implement automated component/API tests and resolve defects, performance issues and application vulnerabilities.
• Production Support: Investigate incidents, implement corrective changes and coordinate deployments with QA and Cloud/DevOps.
• Documentation and Handover: Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer, including backup coverage for mobile and backend services.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field; Master’s preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including experience delivering enterprise or government digital services.
• Frontend: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js, including production e-services portals.
• Backend: Minimum 3 years of Node.js development and REST API integration experience.
• CMS: Practical experience with Strapi or a comparable headless CMS, including content modelling, permissions and deployment.
• Mobile: Minimum 2 years of React Native experience to support cross-channel development and backup coverage.
• Database: Strong SQL Server knowledge and practical experience integrating with Dataverse and Dynamics 365.
• Security: Experience with secure authentication, authorization, input validation, file-upload protection and secrets handling.
• Delivery: Hands-on experience with Git, code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Localization: Proven experience delivering bilingual Arabic/English solutions and RTL interfaces.
• Collaboration: Ability to own assigned applications independently and coordinate effectively with business departments, vendors and technical teams.
