Job summary

Genesis Solutions in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to ship significant features across our stack. This onsite role requires 3 days a week in the office and offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will own technical decisions, mentor peers, and work closely with client teams to deliver reliable production systems using TypeScript/Node.js and React. Strong data structures, SQL, and incident response skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience building production systems in TypeScript/Node.js.
• Production software engineering experience in TypeScript/Node.js.
• React.js experience or strong willingness to learn.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, concurrency, and distributed-system failure modes.
• Solid SQL, including indexing and query plans.
• Experience operating services in production: logging, metrics, alerting, and on-call.
• Confidence in code review and constructive pushback with peers.
• Experience using AI coding tools with sound judgment.
• Strong communication across organizational boundaries and business framing.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship significant features end to end.
• Own non-trivial technical decisions, write them up clearly, and defend them.
• Align with client development teams and stakeholders on integration design, sequencing, and delivery.
• Set the standard on code quality and review code substantively across the team.
• Mentor other engineers through pairing, design review, and direct feedback.
• Participate in production incident response and post-incident analysis.
• Contribute to platform-wide work.
