Job summary

Ecojob in El-Fujairah UAE is seeking a Senior Sailor 1st Class to oversee ship navigation, maintenance and safety. You will supervise junior sailors and ensure smooth operations in a busy port environment.

With at least 5 years on 1st class, a biometric passport and fluent English, you will lead crews, maintain logs, and coordinate with port authorities. This full-time role offers a regular schedule and a competitive monthly salary starting at $1000.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Sailor 1st Class.
• Biometric passport required for international travel.
• Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
• Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Physically fit for extended onboard duty.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train junior sailors in ship operations.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of vessel activities.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment and repairs.
• Communicate with crew, port authorities, and other ships.
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust navigation as needed.
