Job summary

WSP in the Middle East seeks an Associate to lead the design delivery of complex roads and highways for large-scale infrastructure in Dubai/Sharjah. The role requires senior technical leadership with extensive Dubai project experience and a track record coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver compliant designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in roads and highways design.
• Extensive Dubai RTA infrastructure and land development project experience.
• Experience delivering Dubai projects within the last 5 years preferred.
• Strong understanding of Dubai authority standards and approvals.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Ability to lead technical delivery packages with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and detailed design of roads and highways infrastructure (arterial/local roads, interchanges, junctions).
• Coordinate closely with utilities, drainage, traffic, structures, lighting, landscaping and public realm.
• Review and approve technical deliverables, drawings and calculations for quality and consistency.
• Support project managers to meet programme, quality and delivery milestones.
• Participate in technical meetings and design reviews with Clients and Dubai authorities.
• Assist in resource planning, task allocation and technical input to programmes; support bid submissions.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to improving design processes and standards.
