AECOM is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer Infrastructure/Bridges in Abu Dhabi to lead site supervision for major bridge and infrastructure projects. You will manage a supervision team, coordinate with the contractor and stakeholders, and ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities include reviewing submittals, monitoring progress, quality, and safety, and supporting the Project Manager on variations and claims.

Formación

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in site supervision and delivery of major infrastructure and bridge projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of bridge structures foundations piling concrete works roads earthworks drainage and utilities.
• Proven experience managing site supervision teams and coordinating with Contractors and stakeholders.
• Good understanding of construction contracts, technical specifications, quality procedures and project controls.
• Experience in progress monitoring, technical reviews, inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and coordination skills.
• UAE experience on major infrastructure and bridge projects is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise bridge works including foundations, piling, abutments, piers, retaining walls, decks, bearings, expansion joints, barriers and related structures.
• Oversee infrastructure works including roads, earthworks, drainage, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, electrical, telecom and other utilities.
• Manage and coordinate the site supervision team including Assistant Resident Engineers, Inspectors, Surveyors and other technical staff.
• Review Contractor submissions including shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, inspection plans and construction programmes.
• Monitor construction progress, quality and compliance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate with Contractor, Client, utility authorities, designers and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor contractor programme, manpower, equipment and resources and identify delays or risks.
• Review IRs, RFIs, NCRs and other technical documentation.
• Ensure proper inspection, testing and commissioning of works.
• Monitor interfaces between bridges, roads, utilities and other components.
• Participate in progress meetings and provide updates on project performance and outstanding works.
• Support Project Manager in assessing variations, extensions of time, and other contractual matters.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and project documentation.
• Oversee handover and closeout including as-built drawings, testing records, O&M manuals.

We are looking for a Senior Resident Engineer Infrastructure/Bridges to lead and oversee site supervision activities for major infrastructure and bridge construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the supervision team monitoring construction progress and quality coordinating with the Contractor and relevant stakeholders and ensuring that all works comply with approved drawings specifications contractual requirements and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage site supervision activities for bridge and infrastructure construction works.
• Supervise bridge works including foundations piling abutments piers retaining walls decks bearings expansion joints barriers and associated structures.
• Oversee infrastructure works including roads earthworks stormwater drainage sewerage potable water irrigation electrical telecom and other utility networks.
• Manage and coordinate the site supervision team including Assistant Resident Engineers Inspectors Surveyors and other technical staff.
• Review Contractor submissions including shop drawings method statements material submittals inspection plans and construction programmes.
• Monitor construction progress quality and compliance with approved drawings specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate with the Contractor Client utility authorities designers and other stakeholders to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Monitor the Contractors programme manpower equipment and resources and identify delays or potential risks.
• Review Inspection Requests (IRs) Requests for Information (RFIs) Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and other technical documentation.
• Ensure proper inspection testing and commissioning of bridge and infrastructure works.
• Monitor interfaces between bridges roads utilities drainage systems and other infrastructure components.
• Participate in progress meetings and provide regular updates on project performance technical issues and outstanding works.
• Support the Project Manager in assessing variations claims Extension of Time submissions and other contractual matters.
• Ensure compliance with project quality health and safety and environmental requirements.
• Maintain accurate site records progress reports and project documentation.
• Oversee handover and closeout activities including as-built drawings testing records O&M manuals and outstanding works.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in site supervision and delivery of major infrastructure and bridge projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of bridge structures foundations piling concrete works roads earthworks drainage and wet and dry utilities.
• Proven experience managing site supervision teams and coordinating with Contractors and stakeholders.
• Good understanding of construction contracts technical specifications quality procedures and project controls.
• Experience in progress monitoring technical reviews inspections testing and commissioning.
• Strong leadership communication problem-solving and coordination skills.
• UAE experience on major infrastructure and bridge projects is preferred.
