Job summary

RINA is recruiting a Senior System Engineer (Railway System Interface Manager) to join its team in Al Ain, UAE. You will design, integrate, and optimize railway systems, coordinating with subsystems across rolling stock, signaling, tracks, and power supply to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of railway systems engineering with strong interface management.
• Experience with signaling systems (ETCS, CBTC, PTC, Interlocking).
• Interface management between hardware, software, and infrastructure.
• Experience with sustainability in railway design, construction, and operation.
• Knowledge of EN 50126/50128/50129 RAMS and ETCS/ERTMS standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, and optimize railway systems and interfaces across subsystems.
• Manage railway system scenarios, requirements and architectures; coordinate verifications.
• Lead lifecycle management, upgrades, and maintenance planning for longevity.
• Oversee digitalization efforts including IoT, AI, Big Data, and Digital Twin concepts.
• Define and monitor the V&V plan for interfaces and ensure successful project closure.
