Job summary

Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced radiographer to independently perform general radiography and MRI procedures. You will oversee junior staff, ensure imaging quality, and report findings to the supervisor as needed.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate experience in multimodality site/facility including OR, Trauma fluoroscopy and general radiology in an acute care hospital.
• UAE National: minimum 2–3 years relevant experience in an acute care hospital.
• Minimum 4–6 years postgraduate experience in multimodality site/facility including OR, Trauma, fluoroscopy and general radiology.
• UAE National: minimum 2–3 years relevant experience in an acute care hospital.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and supervises junior staff and ensures adherence to department rules and policies.
• Maintains inventory of materials and equipment required for duties.
• Manages shortages and approves replenishments with supervisor oversight.
• Performs all MRI procedures per department policies and protocols.
• Evaluates images for quality and forwards to Radiologist for review and reporting.
• Advises medical/technical staff on appropriate techniques.
• Directs and monitors procedures carried out by junior staff under supervision.
