Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a Radiography, Radiology Technology, or Medical/Diagnostic Imaging program.
Two years of experience post qualification in the general radiology field.
Diploma in Radiology (minimum three years).
Registration/certification or accreditation as a radiographer AND Current National License.

Responsibilities

Oversees and supervises junior staff and ensures compliance with department rules and policies.
Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment for daily duties.
Manages shortages and orders replenishments when necessary.
Performs MRI procedures in accordance with policies and protocols.
Evaluates images for quality and forwards to Radiologist for review.

Job Description

Responsible for independently performing all general radiography imagery procedures, analyzing output and reporting to supervisor as needed.

Responsibilities

Oversees and supervises junior staff and ensures their abidance to going rules and policies as applied and implemented in the department
Maintains a sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for the performance of duties
Manages and reports shortage of materials to supervisor at the earliest convenience, ordering and approving replenishments when necessary
Performs all MRI procedures in accordance with department policies, procedures and protocols
Evaluates images produced for acceptable quality, appropriateness and completeness. Forwards the images to the Radiologist for review and reporting
Provides advice to medical/technical staff on appropriate techniques
Directs and monitors all procedures carried out by junior staff under supervision and step in whenever there is a requirement
Manages and is responsible for the safe and competent use of all radiology equipment, patient appliances and aids used in the department
Ensures clear images for diagnostic purposes
Monitors and develops as necessary quality improvement indicators to ensure continuous quality improvement & compliance with patient care standards.

Qualifications

Experience :-

Required:

NLT 4 years of postgraduate experience in a multimodality site /facility including OR, Trauma fluoroscopy and general radiology in an acute care hospital (of which NLT 2 years as a senior radiographer in an acute care hospital).
UAE National: NLT 2 years relevant experience in an acute care hospital
NLT 6 years postgraduate experience in a multimodality site /facility including OR, Trauma, fluoroscopy and general radiology in an acute care hospital (of which NLT 3 years as a senior radiographer in an acute care hospital).
UAE National: NLT 3 years relevant experience in an acute care hospital
