Job summary

VerityX in the United Arab Emirates seeks a seasoned Python Engineer to build high-performance microservices for on‑premises infrastructure. You will emphasize strict typing, explicit schemas, and robust data validation using Pydantic while maintaining clean, scalable code.

The role requires 7+ years of Python experience, deep knowledge of backend design, and the ability to own and deliver complex components with high reliability in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Python with a deep understanding of internal mechanics, idioms, and structural design concepts.
• Expert-level experience with Python typing modules and hands-on production experience utilizing Pydantic for data validation.
• Strong professional background in designing and deploying microservices architectures driven by explicit schemas.
• Working knowledge of on-premises infrastructure deployment, local server environments, and hardware-adjacent considerations.
• Track record of problem ownership and sustained value delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, communicate clearly, and take ownership of deliverables.
• Experience in financial, regulatory, or government technology environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Core Python Development: Structure complex coding concepts and business workflows into clean, maintainable, and modular Python applications.
• Core Python Development: Design robust application logic with emphasis on language features, readability, and performance.
• Core Python Development: Refactor and scale existing backend components to maintain low technical debt and clean APIs.
• Type Safety & Schema Validation: Implement strict runtime type checking and data validation strategies leveraging strong typing paradigms.
• Type Safety & Schema Validation: Design and enforce data contracts across service boundaries using Pydantic for validation.
• Type Safety & Schema Validation: Maintain comprehensive type definitions to improve developer experience and error detection.
• Microservices & Infrastructure Management: Build, deploy, and scale decoupled microservices with well-defined schemas.
• Microservices & Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize on-premises infrastructure, tuning resources and networking.
• Messaging & Integration (Optional/Nice-to-Have): Integrate message queuing systems (e.g., Redis) for asynchronous tasks.
